Before You Start Your Custom Apparel Quote
The three things people hesitate over most, answered before you fill anything in.
“We’re probably not ordering enough.”
There’s no minimum. Not on shirts, not on hats, not on tumblers. One piece is a real order and we’ll quote it like one. If you’re wondering whether twelve is too few, it isn’t — and neither is three. Nobody here will ask you to round up to hit a tier.
“I don’t have a proper logo file.”
Send whatever you have. A JPEG, a screenshot off your own website, a photo of an old shirt taken on your phone. We work from exactly that constantly. If it needs rebuilding to print properly, we’ll rebuild it — and most of the time the artwork is included in the order rather than billed separately.
“What if you can’t hit our date?”
Then we’ll say so. Tell us the date first and we’ll work backward and give you a straight answer. We’d rather turn a job down than take it and miss the game. Rush is often doable, around a week, but we’ll never promise it before we’ve looked at the job.

What to Send Us for an Accurate Quote
The more of this you can include, the faster your quote comes back. But send what you’ve got — an incomplete message beats no message.
- Your artwork. Vector files (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg) are ideal. Anything else is fine to start.
- Roughly how many. An estimate works. “40 to 60” tells us plenty.
- The date you need them in hands. Not the date you’re hoping to order — the date people need to be wearing them.
- What it’s for. A hockey team, a road race, a crew of eight landscapers, a school fundraiser. This alone tells us most of what we need.
- The garment, if you know. Tee, hoodie, polo, quarter-zip, hat, jacket, tumbler. If you don’t, we’ll help you pick.
- Where the design goes. Front, back, sleeve, left chest, hat front. Or say “not sure.”
- Sizes, if you have them. Youth through adult 4XL on most items. A rough breakdown is fine at quote stage.
What Actually Drives the Price of Custom Shirts
Every order is priced individually, which is why nobody in this industry publishes a price list that means anything. Here’s what moves it, so you know what to expect when we come back to you.
| What | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| How many | The biggest single factor. Setup spreads across the run, so per-piece cost drops as the count goes up. We’ll tell you where the breaks fall. |
| The garment | A basic cotton tee and a Carhartt jacket are not close. Brand, weight and fabric drive a lot of the total. |
| Decoration method | Screen printing, embroidery, DTF, engraving — different economics at different counts. |
| Ink colors | Each color in a screen print is a separate screen and a separate pass. |
| Print locations | Front only is cheaper than front, back and a sleeve. |
| Personalization | Names and numbers add per-piece work. Worth it on jerseys, usually not on giveaway tees. |
| Your deadline | A genuine rush may carry expedited shipping on blanks. We’ll tell you before you commit. |

What Happens After You Send Your Quote Request
We Read It and Reply
Most messages get an answer the same business day. If your deadline is tight, say so in the first line and we’ll move you up.
We Ask a Couple of Questions
Usually about the garment, the artwork or the date. This is the part that prevents the problems, so it’s worth the five minutes.
You Get a Price and a Proof
A real number with an explanation of what’s driving it, and a proof of your design on the actual garment before anything is printed.
You Approve, We Produce
10 to 14 business days from art approval is standard. Then bulk drop-off, individual shipping, or pickup — your call.
One Custom Shirt or One Thousand
No minimum, any file format, and a straight answer about your deadline. Send it over and we’ll get to work.
